R Kelly arraigned on bribe charge linked to Aaliyah wedding
R. Kelly insists that he is innocent of a claim of bribery made against him. He has pleaded not guilty of bribing an official to get a fake identification document for late singer Aaliyah Haughton. She was only 15 at the time and one day after allegedly bribing the official, the two got married. This is the latest charge in a criminal case accusing him of running a many year-long scheme to recruit underage girls for sex, according to TimesLIVE.
Kelly and Aaliyah got married but the marriage was annulled in 1995. Kelly entered his plea before U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly in Brooklyn federal court by video conference from Illinois, where he is currently jailed.
The singer was arrested on separate sets of charges brought by federal prosecutors in Brooklyn and Chicago. Aaliyah passed away 18 years ago in a plane crash in the Bahamas in 2001. Kelly is scheduled to go to trial in Brooklyn in May 2020.
Ex Reality Tv star Nina Ivy has revealed her son Denzel in new pictures on her Instagram page, Ekomiamiblog reports.
The 24-year-old on Thursday officially introduced Denzel to her Instagram followers.
The post reads:
“To my son, I loved you from the very start, You stole my breath, embraced my heart, I remember the first day I held you in my arms I felt a love so unreal,” Nina wrote.
“Loving you is a wonderful way to spend a lifetime, thank you for choosing me to be your mummy , you are my definition of perfect.”
In another post Nina said, “My little mr sonshine @denzelkely.”
Queen Anu, one of the wives of the Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has confirmed that she has walked out of her marriage in order to be “free” from “bondage.”
Anu, however, noted that she is being threatened and constantly harassed by the monarch for making the decision.
