During the #EndSARS campaign that made the Nigerian youths to say no to police brutality in Nigeria that led to the eventual dissolution of the former police unit called the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). Some Nigerian comedians have decided not to joke about the loss of Nigerian lives because of the bad actions of some members of the Nigerian Police Force and are at the forefront of a reformed Nigeria Police Force. Their voices and that of other Nigerians all over the world have made them stand out amongst other comedians in Nigeria.

1. Mr Macaroni

Comedian Debo Adedayo popularly known as Mr Macaroni supported the #EndSARS campaign. The Ogun state comedian and celebrity used his social media to encourage Nigerians and the Nigerian government to dissolve the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Nigeria. Mr Macaroni was active during the time Nigerians protested against the brutality of SARS in Lagos as seen on social media and newspapers. The successful comedian also released some comedy video that displayed police brutality of officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and why the Nigerian police should be reformed.

2. Bovi

Abovi Ugboma popularly known as Bovi is a Nigerian comedian, actor, and writer. The indigene of Delta State in Nigeria wrote on his Twitter page that there is no Nigerian living in Nigeria that hasn’t been affected by police brutality/bullying/extortion/kidnapping- directly or indirectly. Especially SARS. The comedian who has organized popular stand-up comedy concerts like Bovi Man on Fire is one of the many Nigerians calling for an end in police brutality in Nigeria.

3. AY

Ayodeji Richard Makun, also known by his stage name A.Y is one of the top Nigerian comedians against police brutality in Nigeria. The Nigerian actor, comedian, radio and TV presenter, writer, producer and director have always stood firmly with #EndSARS campaign especially on social media. The host of the A.Y live shows and A.Y comedy skits is not one to support bad government and governance and have on multiple times spoken against this both online and offline.

4. Lasisi

Lasisi Elenu whose real name is Nosa Afolabi is a Nigerian comedian that does his comedy via Instagram. He is one of the strong voices against the evils in Nigeria. Lasisi has over a million followers on Twitter and has been calling for the end in police brutality in Nigeria. He has also supported the reformation of the Nigerian police and the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) during the #EndSARS campaign.

The 24-year-old on Thursday officially introduced Denzel to her Instagram followers.
