Established on 22nd August 1983 and with the largest student database in Nigeria. National Open University as established by the federal government offers affordable Open Distance Learning (DLI). National Open University is the first institution to have established ODL programmes in West Africa. In 2006, the institution moved to it permanent Headquarter in Jabi, Abuja.
