Robbers took N650,000 from me, all my Phones, destroyed my Car, Clem Ohameze laments

Popular actor, Clem Ohameze has narrated how he was attacked by thugs in Akwa Ibom state.

The actor made it known via an interview with BBC Igbo that he was on his way to a movie location in Abak Road on Thursday October 22, when he was attacked by the hoodlums in guise of #EndSARS protesters. He also narrated how they took his money, phones, damaged his car and also slashed his hand with a machete, upon even identifying him.

The actor said;

“It happened on Thursday in Uyo. The protesters, I ran into them. On recognising me, they just didn’t want to bother. They took everything away from me.

“They took N650,000 from me, all my phones. Destroyed my car, slashed my hand with a machete. I did a police report when this happened. I was on Abak Road in Uyo. I went to work on a movie set of my own.”

He as well made it known that his attackers have pleaded guilty to assault to the police and are awaiting trial.

Hi, I'm Jadesola and if you've been here a while, you'll know that Ekomiami has always existed without a face. That changes now. I founded this platform in Lagos in 2018, originally as a space for entertainment and celebrity news. Over time and across continents my world grew bigger and so did my curiosity. Today, Ekomiami is what it was always quietly becoming: a home for travel, food, arts, and culture, told through the eyes of someone navigating the world from a very particular vantage point. With a background in content and media production. I write and create about the places I go, the food I find, and the experiences that make travel feel like more than a holiday. You'll find me in Bordeaux wine bars, on Albanian coastlines, in English market towns, and at restaurant tables taking notes between courses. The name "Ekomiami", "Lagos to Miami" has always been about movement, ambition, and showing up somewhere new. Seven years in, I'm stepping out from behind it. Welcome to the journey, properly.
