Anonymous, a decentralized international activist/hacktivist collective/movement widely known for its various cyber attacks against several governments, government institutions and government agencies had on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, claimed to have hacked multiple Nigerian government websites in solidarity with #EndSARS protestors and retribution for violence by the Nigerian police. This was posted on the hacktivists Twitter page.

Anonymous Claims To Have Hacked Nigerian Police Database Hacked

Anonymous had earlier created another handle for its Nigerian operators on Monday, October 12, 2020, for its Nigerian operations which have been temporarily restricted by Twitter. The new Twitter handle had also published what looks like a list of personal information that looks like the Biodata of applicants and officers of the Nigerian Police and the Nigerian Immigration.

As seen on Guardian, it was reported that the Nigerian police’s website desktop version was down as at 12:21 am earlier today Thursday, October 15, 2020, but the website mobile version was up as at the same time.
