Education

Udomboso John a.k.a Young John, grew up in Ibadan. He had his Primary and Secondary education at Ideal Foundation Primary School Ibadan, Oritamefa Baptist Model School Ibadan, and GOF College Osun state respectively. He currently studies Communication and Language Arts at the Prestigious University of Ibadan.

Music Career

Young John began his music career at a very tender age, as a keyboardist and drummer in his church. After that, he decided to improve on his skills by experimenting sounds on his laptop, while curious about instrumental beat creations.

His music production career officially began five years ago, when he formed a group with his brothers called AVG. He was part of this group till he signed to HitFactory Studio Lagos in 2012, where he decided on pursuing his solo career as a producer and artisit.

Young John’s career came into limelight when he produced Olamide’s “ShakitiBobo”, “Story for the gods”; Lil Kesh’s “Gbese”, “Efejoku”; Davido’s “Biggest Backside”, “Baddest”, “Street Ot”, and many others.

Since then, he has collaborated with various A-listers in the music industry such as Jaywon, Sexy Steel, Stringz, Sukanmi, Davido, Phyno, Lil Kesh, LAX, etc. Young John ranked No. 3 in the NeT’s list of “Nigeria’s Top 7 Biggest Music Producers”.
