Gas explosion wreaks havoc in Ajao Estate, Lagos

An undisclosed number of persons were feared dead Tuesday night 28th of July 2020 after a gas explosion in Ajao Estate, Lagos.⁣⁣

According to Guardian Nigeria, an eyewitness told their correspondent at the scene of the incident that the explosion was caused by cooking gas.

Mangled and dismembered bodies of those that died could be seen in the rubbles left behind by the explosion.

Although the number of those that died could not be ascertained yet, it was learned that four first responders at the scene sustained injuries. Cars and houses nearby were also affected.
